Pick up and departure from Cusco

The excursion starts very early, at approximately 03:00 am., with pick-up from your hotel in the city of Cusco. During the journey we will enjoy the landscapes and valleys of Pitumarca, passing through the communities of Japura and Hachipacha, inhabited by Quechua settlers.

Breakfast in Cusipata

We will arrive at the town of Cusipata, where we will enjoy a buffet breakfast. Later we will continue the trip for approximately an hour and a half until we reach the community of Pallcoyo.

Hike to Pallcoyo Mountain

We will begin a light walk of approximately 45 minutes. During the tour we will appreciate the stone forest, the Red Valley, the colorful mountains and the impressive views of the snow-capped Ausangate.

Pallcoyo Viewpoint

The first observation point is located at 5,200 m asl., from where we can contemplate the Red Valley, the snow-capped mountains and the stone forest. Those who wish to continue can ascend to the stone forest located a 5,300 m asl., getting an even wider panoramic view of the landscape.

Return to Cusco

After enjoying the tour and taking photographs, we will return to the community of Cusipata, where a buffet lunch awaits us. Finally we will begin the return trip to the city of Cusco, with approximate arrival at 06:00 pm.
